the winds are strong, the car is shaking, the thunder is rumbling..
rain is pelting down together with ice.. the ice is getting larger..
VERY COLD! today is a stay indoors day.. very glad i have no school today!

one day, all the cars stopped at the "duck crossing"
i was on my way to cook dinner.. pasta, chinese herbal soup and sunny side up eggs.
for dessert, fondue..
another day, we went for icecream, and decorated it ourselves.
while pingko and elly waited patiently in the car..

fly me away..
i might be in singapore but my heart's not here.
if it wasn't for family and friends.. i wouldnt be back.
i want to pack my bags and take my family elsewhere.
i want barretts' soy flat white, driving praisey around..
the grass, the sun, rainbows in the fountain..
duckies, open spaces where i can sit under a tree and watch the clouds roll by..

i find myself asking if i want to come back here for good when honours is over.
hmmm... i never planned on staying in australia after studying.. but now i seem to be thinking differently. i miss it so much.
did something happy today! i decided to spend alone time.. go out, with a book, sit in leo's to enjoy a soy flat white. barretts is much better. my sister popped by for a while, and we left together. i took a walk along the river, to fullerton hotel, to timbre at the arts house, to the padang where i saw a couple shooting their wedding photos on the steps of the old courthouse (pretty place for shots but the bride's gown wasn't nice), to raffles city when i decided i could use some aircon. i was extremely happy though, walking on the padang. i took my slippers off to walk on the grass which was damp. i miss the feel of grass on the soles of my feet!
i left super smiley.. t'was a good day spent. |

i am unsettled here in singapore. after spending 3 years in perth, i've finally graduated. thinking about it, if i wasnt preparing to head back for honours, it would mean that i'll be back here for good. and seriously, i can't imagine not heading back ever. it's going to be so hard when i finally pack up for good come november next year.
just 2 days back and i'm missing the place.. broadway where barretts is.. soy flat white never fails to make me happy.. matilda bay where the dolphins come real close to the shore, and the jellyfish, and playing in the water.. kings park where i take my devotions outdoors, ending up with a super tan that everyone's been telling me about..
other than that, i'm happy to be back.. seeing everyone again has made me smile much. still waiting for some others to come back from perth though..
tottenham v rovers now.. i predict 1-0 to tott as much as i'd like rovers to win. |
